The Hexa honeycomb is a special garden office. The beam structure gives the space the atmosphere of a beach house in Bergen aan Zee. The material with which the studio is made is revolutionary: Beams of pressed and recycled plastic and textile.

The Hexa studio can be used for many purposes. For example, a study room for students who still live at home. The possibilities are endless. The Hexa honeycomb is a jewel in your garden. You can also place the studio elsewhere. Optional are kitchen, water point and self-sufficient energy build-up.

HEXA HONEYCOMB XL

The garden studio can also be transformed into a special house. The surface then grows from approximately 20m2 to approximately 50m2. A truly special TINY House is now being created, which you can place anywhere, if you obtain an environmental permit from the relevant municipality.

Hexa Honingraat is suitable for permanent residence.

Hexa Honingraat

General description

With the innovative system of the Hexatuinstudio an affordable andsustainable garden house is realized. The distinctive character is theself-designed Biobased Building Blocks. These blocks are literally the walls ofthe studio. In addition, the design of the studio has a strong example ofarchitectural value. As can be seen, the Hexa consists of a hexagonal shape. This is (as is often the case in architecture) derived from nature: thebee-comb. Thanks to this efficient shape, the weight is spread over six walls, giving the studio enormous stability.

Material & description of the interior

The blocks
The Biobased Building Blocks consist of maize, sugar cane and cassava. These plants are pressed, whereby the juice (also called enzyme) that isreleased is mixed with CO2. This creates spheres that are pressed into a moldwhen moist. The product is environmentally friendly and recyclable, but aboveall made from waste.

The beams
The composition of the beams has been sustainably optimized by addingplastic waste and 40% textiles that cannot be incinerated. The latter gives thebeams even more strength.

The posts
The posts consist of light types of scrap wood. These materials usedcome from demolition projects and are developed by Circular Woodworker Herso.

The glass
The studio has hardened vacuum insulation glass. This glass has the bestinsulation value in the world, has a lifespan of at least 25 years, reduces noise,is 5x stronger glass (safe from injury) and environmentally friendly ...

Foundation
It is not necessary to dig a foundation. The light weight of thebuilding blocks ensures minimal pressure on the foundation. If necessary, aweed barrier can be placed underneath (depending on the soil conditions). TheDutch team of your supplier can also do this if you wish and consider itnecessary.

Production and installation
In order to build as quickly and smoothly as possible, all materials aretailor-made. Thanks to the inventive system, the studio only needs to be"put together".
